Lunch with Maya

Lunch with Maya at the new restaurant Social Club.I haven't seen Maya for more than 2 years so we had a really nice long talk.  Maya was our cupid!! She was the one who helped me contacted Sabon New York when I told her that I have difficulty making the contact.  I am happy that I didn't disappointed her. We really made it happened.

Manta Ray

Eli took me to this very nice seafood restaurant Manta Ray next to the sea. Today was too windy that's so we had to sit inside. It's tapas style that the waiter will bring over dishes of tapas to choose. It's such a small world. Eli's son Itay was Maya's roommate and he actually knows Maya very well.  He was surprised to hear about my Sabon story. Everyone is somehow connected to everyone else, I really like this culture.  Vered joined us with little Adam. She is always so gorgeous and walking in like a movie star.

Tapas 1

Tapas 1 - the hottest restaurant in Tel Aviv now where all celebrites go and requires 2 weeks advanced reservation. With Avi's connection, he was able to get a table for the same day! The food was delicious!

Jerusalem

Ronen arranged a tour guy to take us to Jerusalem today. Originally I thought we can just take a bus to go sightseeing but Avi insisted we need someone to take us there. Now I understand why. Our tour guy was like a history professor, he explained everything to us every place we went. We visited the Old City, Sabon Jerusalem and the Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem.

Sabon Shenkin

Visited Sabon on Shenkin Street. This is where Sabon is started. I really like how it's decorated with the old bottles which the labels were hand-drawn one by one when Sabon started. It's like looking at Sabon history for me.
